RIP Krissi Hunt "Failings on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) contributed to the decline in the mental state of Kristie Hunt, who took her own life aged 31, the Coroner found at the inquest into her death. Kristie, who was in receipt of disability benefits, died on 26 November 2023 following an overdose on 23 November 2023. Known to family and friends as Krissi, she was a bright, vivacious young woman who cared deeply about other people and aspired to be a nurse" The deaths never stop and the DWP never learn, she wasn't just a statistic, she was a person who no walks this earth.No doubt we will hear the "lessons will be learnt" thrown around by an agency that doesn't give a toss. Condolences to this lady's family, you deserved to have this lady treated in a more humane and empathetic way that what she received

Here We Go Again Sadly the Labour Party has decided once again to target disabled people and disability benefits * for those that don't remember - Labour targeted disabled people under the Blair leadership all those years ago . So what is this blog about? It's to keep a running total of those disabled people and/or carers that have had enough and decide to take the only way out they think they have. I thought it would take a while for the first person but ... RIP Ms Moore, you deserved better treatment than what you got. They say "a country's reputation can be gauged by how it treats their most vulnerable", then our country and government really is shite! I sincerely hope that not another person takes their own life, but having been a campaigner for carers back in the ' Blair years ' I just know the list will grow.
